Review: Yellow Tail Moscato

Yellow Tail Moscato
Yellow Tail Moscato is a very light, sweet wine that we expected to like given our predilection for bubbly beverages. Made by the folks at Yellow Tail down in Australia, we were able to find this bottle for only $6. The moscato itself was so light that it almost looked like a bottle of water. There was just a smidgen of color shining through. Despite some worry that this light color would be a sign of light flavor, we were in for a treat.

At the risk of sounding sexist, ladies loved the Yellow Tail Moscato. I’m not making a generalization, but instead reporting the findings of our tasting group. At only 7.5% alcohol, this is a sparkling something you can drink all day and with just the right amount of sweetness, it is not overpowering with sugar.

The Yellow Tail Moscato is not going to be a wine for everyone, but the people who like it seem to really love it. I recommend giving it a try. It is only $6, and if you’re one of the ones who love it, you’re in for a treat.
