Review: Cupcake Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc

The Sauvignon Blanc from America’s most deliciously named wine maker, Cupcake Vineyards, is almost as tasty as the name. Coming from the far away land of Marlborough, New Zealand, this bottle will set you back around $10 wherever you find it – and you can find it at just about every major grocery store. They only rolled out nationally in 2008, and they are already everywhere. I take that as a sign of a superior product.

Cupcake Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes and comes in at 13% abv. This wine has an immediate aroma of sweet lemon. The taste is an intriguing combination of tart with just enough sweet in there to balance it out. Every sip is quite refreshing.

I can see the Cupcake Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc going nicely with most light foods including salads and seafood. Given the overall enjoyable drinking experience and the $10 price, I can definitely recommend you pick up a bottle of this for yourself and give it a try.
